Aegister VPN 2.0 is available on the App Store. The app for iPhone and iPad has been rewritten in SwiftUI, with the same updated OpenVPN engine as the Android release published last week. Version 2.0 is now on both platforms.
Built for Aegister customers
This is not a public VPN service: it serves organisations with an active VPN licence with us. You sign in with your Aegister account, and the app downloads the profile assigned to your organisation, opens an encrypted OpenVPN tunnel to our servers and configures the device with no manual steps.
Traffic leaves through our servers, where it passes the service's threat intelligence and IP reputation filters. The filtering sits on the network rather than in the app, so it applies to every device on the tunnel.
What the iOS version gives you
- A native SwiftUI app for iPhone and iPad, from iOS 17.5 onwards.
- An OpenVPN tunnel with AES-256-CBC over UDP to our servers.
- Sign-in with an Aegister account and automatic profile setup.
- Your real address and the tunnel address shown side by side, so you can see at a glance that the connection is going through the VPN.
- A panel with the session details: server, encryption, protocol and DNS resolver.
- A 30-day and 12-month usage history, calculated and kept on the device alone.
Privacy
The app carries no adverts, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. The VPN certificate is kept in the iOS Keychain, on the device only, and the usage history never leaves it. Your public IP address is detected by our own services, not by a third party. When you sign out, the certificate and the credentials are removed from the device. How to start
Download the app from the App Store or from Google Play and sign in with your Aegister account. If your company does not have a VPN licence yet, the Aegister VPN page explains how to activate one.
